# ES 7 - moving indices from one node to another in a cluster does not free up disk space?

Hey,

I have an ES7 cluster (6 nodes, different types).  
When moving indices from one node to another - disk space remains the same.  
I have moved almost 1TB from one node to other nodes up to a point the mentioned node does not have any indices at all, and yet data disk remains unchanged.

I have used a curator job to move the indices and forcemerge them on the new nodes.

Any idea why disk space not freed up?
