# ES: How to I delete the whole database contents and start clean again, without losing indexes & dashboards?

Ok, my server is still hosed (see below)... massive amount of unfixed shards etc

How do I delete the whole database contents and start clean again, without losing indexes & dashboards? Help appreciated as my boss will be sending me to Microsoft for a solution soon if not sorted!!
