Hi, I am using a tar.gz downloaded version of ES 5.2.0 on CentOS 7 machine. ES process does not start by running \<Download\_dir\>/bin/elasticsearch. ps -ef shows elasticsearch process, but running any curl command on 9200 port shows connection refused.
Logs directory is not getting created, so there are no logs to look at, and there are no messages on stdout, so how can I debug this further?
The same thing works on another Ubuntu machine.
Thanks.

If you are calling the ES binary directly then it should log to stdout.
