# ES on Windows

Hi,

Does it make sense to run Elastic Search on Windows in production? Are  
there any available benchmark reports comparing between Windows and  
Linux?

Hey,

I am not familiar with benchmarks that were run to compare the two, but  
elasticsearch can certainly be used on windows platform.
