# ES\_PATH\_CONF not working in windows

Hi Team,

I am trying to change my config files path in elasticsearch , I am using zip for instaling elastic version 7.1 and running below command

ES\_PATH\_CONF=/home/elasticuser/myconfig ./bin/elasticsearch

You can also see the same in below screen. Could you please let me know what I am doing wrong here??

Please don't post images of text as they are hardly readable and not searchable.

Instead paste the text and format it with `</>` icon. Check the preview window.

I guess you need to read the Windows documentation on how to define user or system variables.  
From my old memory days, I think it was something you can find in the System control panel (where you define also `PATH` and such variables).
