# ES - Peformance GC

Hi,

Is there anyway to better config the GC in elasticsearch ?  
I Have some problem, my GC stay very slow (3s).

[23:23:17,550][WARN][monitor.jvm] [Authority]  
[gc][ParNew][113594][86817] duration [2.9s], collections [1]/[3.2s],  
total [2.9s]/[58.8m], memory [1.1gb]-\>[1.1gb]/[9.7gb], all\_pools  
{[Code Cache] [11.1mb]-\>[11.1mb]/[48mb]}{[Par Eden Space]  
[1.3mb]-\>[1.3mb]/[66.5mb]}{[Par Survivor Space]  
[46.8kb]-\>[50.6kb]/[8.3mb]}{[CMS Old Gen]  
[1.1gb]-\>[1.1gb]/[9.6gb]}{[CMS Perm Gen] [39.9mb]-\>[39.9mb]/[166mb]}
