Hi, when creating a table from ES|QL query, is it possible to preset columns widths, or auto-adapt to content ? Also is there a way to colorize cells and/or text in cells ?

Thanks,

Saved searches (no matter if from Data View or ES|QL) keep the `Auto fit` setting so you can get the rows adapting to the content

On the other hand, if you are creating the ES|QL query directly in the dashboard, then you need to check for similar settings in the `Visual options` panel

You can color cells or values in the ES|QL panel in the dashboard in the Metric configuration, but not on a saved search.

Hi @cgame

It is possible to preset columns width and persist it, while letting the user to customize it in a dashboard (temporary change).
There's currently no auto-adapt feature yet.

As for colorize cells, it is possible by numeric value opening the metric dimension configuration. For string values there's a work in progress you can track here: [[Lens] Color options for string cells in tables · Issue #179322 · elastic/kibana · GitHub](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/179322)
