# Es5 can't register for a Basic license?

Before i can [register for a Basic license](https://register.elastic.co/marvel_register) to use `marvel`,But after `es5`,`marvel` and other plugins all merge to `x-pack`,so i can't get an license which free for one year?

Yes, you can still get a free basic licence for a year by registering [here](https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions). Is this not working for you? Did you not receive an email with your free license?
