# Estimate resource usage in ES 6

However I have a self-hosted server with Elasticsearch 6.

Does it allow me to get an estimate of how many GB were read during a period and how many API calls were made in a period?

Elasticsearch 6 is very much [EOL](https://www.elastic.co/support/eol) and no longer supported, you should be looking to upgrade as a matter of urgency.

There are some Monitoring components you can use as per [Monitoring Elasticsearch | Elasticsearch Reference [6.0] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.0/es-monitoring.html)
