Hello!

I'm newbie in Beat.

1.

Is Beat a ETL tool to integrate different data source from different database and then merge all data into one common and single database?

1.

What context is Beat beats being used in business? Any concrete example?

Thank you!

The Beats library is a building block for making programs that send pieces of data (like log events) to e.g. Logstash, Elasticsearch, or Kafka. I'm sure you can use it as one part of an ETL tool but that's not its intended purpose.

Also check out the blogs and video section, there are some use cases and also users reporting on how they use beats: [https://www.elastic.co/blog](https://www.elastic.co/blog) Here is one that tells you how filebeat is used to monitor kafka: [https://www.elastic.co/blog/monitoring-kafka-with-elastic-stack-1-filebeat](https://www.elastic.co/blog/monitoring-kafka-with-elastic-stack-1-filebeat)
