# Example of elasticsearch.yml and kibana.yml after x-pack installation

Hello,
I was using Elasticsearch and Kibana and it worked fine for my single node cluster before I installed X-pack. I need x-pack to better see the performance of search and index requests of my documents.
However, I can see some modules of X-pack (Graph, Machine Learning seems to work) in Kibana but the monitoring window returns an error. It may be due to the way x-pack was installed because there mainly seems to have errors with watcher and monitoring.
Could somebody post their elasticsearch.yml and kibana.yml default config files where monitoring settings are displayed ?

Hi Louise,
It would really help to know exactly what error you are seeing with monitoring and watcher. Can you post that?
