# Existing Scripts breaking after updating to Elastic Search 7.4 from 6.3

So after the upgrade most of our scripts are breaking and giving an error "A document doesn't have a value for a field! Use doc[].size()==0 to check if a document is missing a field!"

Is there an option for this error to be ignored? We have a lot of different scripts being used and would like this validation to be turned off.
