# Export to CSV fails with 'index\_closed\_exception'

Hello.

I am unable to export a CSV from an index pattern, Kibana reports the exception 'index\_closed\_exception'. Some of the indices are indeed closed. Everything else in Kibana works fine with this index pattern.

I believe this is a bug on the CSV export routine, it should ignore closed indices.

Hey @rgr78 it appears that we aren't passing the `ignoreUnavailable` option to the search request when performing the CSV export, would you mind opening a bug at [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new) with what you're experiencing and we'll get it resolved?
