# Failed after reindexing

Got this error after reindexing

[INIT] Fail initialize schema, index already exists, previous initialization fail because you kill the platform before the end of the initialization. Please remove your elastic/opensearch data and restart."

OpenSearch/OpenDistro are AWS run products and differ from the original Elasticsearch and Kibana products that Elastic builds and maintains. You may need to contact them directly for further assistance.

Did you ask this project about this? I mean that it's not an elastic message so we can't help with 100% guarantee.

I can guess from the message that the Index already exists so may be you need to DELETE it first?
