# Failed to build Kibana 6.2.4 from source code

**Kibana version** : 6.2.4

**Elasticsearch version** : 6.2.4

**Server OS version** : Window 10

**Browser version** : Chrome

**Browser OS version** : Windows 10

**Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.)**:

**Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior** :  
Tried to run `yarn build` to have a local Kibana build. The command is aborted due to warning.

**Steps to reproduce** :

1. yarn install
2. yarn build

**Errors in browser console (if relevant)**:

```auto
tmao@tmao-lt1 MINGW64 ~/Sites/elastic/kibana (dev-v6.2.4)
$ yarn build
yarn run v1.6.0
$ grunt build

try running `yarn kbn bootstrap` instead of `yarn install`

AFAIK, the kbn command is not available on v6.2.4 branch of Kibana, isn't it?  
Otherwise, the yarn build command works on Linux OS.

yes, you are correct. `yarn kbn` was added starting in 6.3
