# Failed to Create Monitoring event (Metric not found)

Hi,

I'm trying to start a simple logstash instance with a config file to upload data from a csv file.  
Keep getting this error:

> [ERROR][logstash.inputs.metrics] Failed to create monitoring event {:message=\>"For path: events", :error=\>"LogStash::Instrument::MetricStore::MetricNotFound"}

Can someone help me figure out why I'm getting this error? Thanks
