Hi, I was trying to create a repository on elasticsearch for camunda backup. On the documentation it mentioned to add local mounted path into the yaml using path.repo parameter. kindly guide how to refer this parameter in elk yaml file.

Hi @deepakraja,

Welcome! Is this for a self-managed installation? Similar to the answer [in this question](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/setting-up-snapshot-repository-what-to-set-for-path-repo/257717) you would specify the option in the `elasticsearch.yml`:

```yml
path.repo: ["/backup/es_backup_for_snapshot"]
```

Let us know if that's the information you need.

Hi @deepakraja,

Looking at the [thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/setting-up-snapshot-repository-what-to-set-for-path-repo/257717/2) I posted previously, you need to create the directory manually, apply the required permissions, and then set the `path.repo` option in the `elasticsearch.yml` as I stated above.

Does that make sense?
