# Failed to establish a new connection: \[Errno 111\] Connection refused')))

Hi. I am having problems creating elastalert in Elasticsearch. When I use the elastalert-create-index command it gives me the error:

I suppose it is a problem of "elastalert" and it is better to ask somewhere about the product.  
One thing I can say is the error looks due to improper connection settings. You may also try to connect to the Elasticsearch server by REST API using the same information you wrote in the elastalert configuration file. If you can, it is a elastalert problem. If you can not, you may start a topic as Elasticsearch connection problem.
