Are you using a load balancer in front of the APM Servers? Have you changed index pattern, generated custom templates, changed agent configuration etc. **Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior. Set up client instance: [API reference | APM Python Agent Reference [master] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/apm/agent/python/master/api.html) I used the above guides to set up the apm agent and client instance. But it's unable to produce the test message, instead I keep seeing the errors on my lambda logs, not sure why it's failing to connect. It appears you don't have your APM Server URL properly configured, as it's trying to send to `http://apm-server:8200`. Assuming you are using the [Elastic APM AWS Lambda Extension](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/apm/lambda/current/aws-lambda-arch.html), you should not be setting the `ELASTIC_APM_SERVER_URL` -- the default is correct for communicating with the extension. Instead, you should be setting these environment variables: ```auto ELASTIC_APM_LAMBDA_APM_SERVER = # this is your APM Server URL ELASTIC_APM_SECRET_TOKEN = # this is your APM secret token ELASTIC_APM_SEND_STRATEGY = background ``` Hope that helps! ---
