# Field with type date when added in table visualization in kibana gets stuck

Hi, I have a field short\_date which is of type date. I want to display details with respect to tiime in the table. But every single time i add the short date row in the table kibana gets stuck up. the entire VM hangs for sometime. I tried this couple of times. How can i troubleshoot it

Hi @Neelam_Zanvar

what version of the stack do you have?  
What editor are you using for the table visualization: TSVB, Agg-based editor, Lens, Canvas?  
Can you share the mapping of the field?

it 8.7.1 version  
I am using lens.
