# File input documentation for logstash 2.2

I recently updated to logstash-2.2 and found this in the log soon after startup:  
:message=\>"Reached open files limit: 4095, set by the 'max\_open\_files' option

I don't see the max\_open\_files option in: [enter link description here](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-file.html)

but did find it in: /opt/logstash/vendor/bundle/jruby/1.9/gems/logstash-input-file-2.2.0/CHANGELOG.md

How often/soon after a release is online documentation updated (assuming I was looking in the wrong place)?
