# Filebeat 6.2.3: Keystores

Hi there,
Wondering how I instruct filebeat to read from a specific keystore. I've generated the keystore and templated filebeat.yml as per:

I cannot find in any documentation or google searches how filebeat knows where the keystore is.

The keystore is statically defined as $path.config/filebeat.keystore.
