# \[Filebeat 8.6.2\] How to add additional fileds in apache module

Hello,

I am using filebeat 6.8.2 and i have enabled the apache module and trying to add some extra fields but not working i alsi tried :  
[Add fields | Filebeat Reference [8.7] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/current/add-fields.html) but this is not working with the apache module.

I tried all ways whatever i found in docs but no luck , any help on this would be really appreciated.

Hi @rohitguptaggg

Are you really using filebeat 6.8.2 which is very very old... and the docs you reference are for 8.7 and are probably not valid...

[Here](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/6.8/filebeat-input-log.html#filebeat-input-log-fields) are the correct docs for 6.8.

And of course, if you share your filebeat.yml and the modules.d/apache.yml then perhaps we can help.
