# Filebeat - how to monitor inactivity

I have an application (windows, 3rd party closed source) which is running as a service. Issue is, it stuck here and there and does nothing although the service is in "running" state.
Is there any way how to monitor this situation within any \*beats?
Clues:
- application is logging activities into a file
- application is logging at least a connection attempt every 5 minutes
- application does not log anything if is stuck
- the computer could be switched off during the night - so there are no logs or anything, but it's ok
