# Filebeat.yml inputs vs module

Hi,

for sending elasticsearch logs to elasticsearch i am using filebeat with enabled module "elasticsearch".

As far as I understod while using a module I do not need to configure the paths in the inputs inside filebeat.yml. But this is not possible. I cannot remove this part from the filebeat.yml.

Do I need to duplicate the settings now or how can I achive having the log paths configuration just in the module file?
