I am relatively new to ES, I have been searching for a few days but have
been unable to find an answer.

Is it possible, through a query, to return only the key words that are hit
within a field? Essentially a combination of what text inside highlight
tags for a particular field.

I have been able to work this out in java through Lucene extracting fields
from explain and combining with the initial query. I just can't seem to get
it going for ES.
