# Fingerprint

Is it possible to instruct Fingerprint to log duplicates (or ignore them entirely), rather than having logstash update a document in ES?

The only way I can think of doing this is to restrict the user and role we have assigned to logstash, but this is surely bad practice, and will generate lot of errors when it is unable to update a document in ES.
