# Firewall Configuration for winlogbeat

Hello,  
I'm using winlogbeat 6.0 and output to kafka on 10001 port.  
So how does winlogbeat works in firewall?  
Do I need to create inbound rule or outbound rule in windows server 2012 client?

The Beat will create outbound connections. It will not be listening for any incoming connections.
