# Forever growing registry file

```
After deleting the yaml file from the configs directory, the monitored logs in the registry are not deleted.

Just to be clear; Do you mean the logs themselves, the registry files, or the mention of the logs in the registry files?

when i delete configs/log1.yml (filebeat input config)
The logs in the registry file will not be deleted.
filebeat version: 6.8.7
