# Format of kibana server.customResponseHeaders

What is the header config file format of the server.customResponseHeaders in the kibana config?

I need to include a X-XSS-PROTECTION header.

In your kibana.yml file add the following lines and restart the kibana server

```auto
server.customResponseHeaders:
  header_name: "header_value"

```
