# Forward custom nginx header

Hey there,  
I am using the nginx module in filebeat to get the access and error logs into elasticsearch. I've added a custom header (X-Request\_Id) to my log output and would like also have that recognized.

I've seen the output.elasticsearch.headers seem to be something I could use, but all the examples I've found are rather static and not something to forward an existing header.

Is it possible to include a custom request header in the elasticsearch output?
