# Frozen data tier on one zone

In our Elastic cloud setup, we have a Hot and Warm data tier divided over two zones for high availability.

We want to add a Frozen data tier for long-term storage, but we want to use only one availability zone for the Frozen data tier. Is that possible or are we getting in trouble with this set-up?

I ask this question because I know for the Hot, Warm, and Cold data tiers the number of availability zones should be the same or you get trouble with data migration between the tiers. But the Frozen data tier doesn't use data migration so I hope it is possible to use it with just one availability zone.
