# Functionbeat not sending data to Kibana

This is my first time using elasticsearch. I'm trying to stream my logs from cloudwatch to elastic cloud. I have functionbeat setup in what seemed like the proper manner, though clearly something is amiss.
When my monitored lambda generates some logs, the functionbeat lambda logs look like this:

I'm completely as lost as to how to debug this. Thanks for any help.

Well, I feel foolish. The logs were there, just not in `logs-*`, but in `functionbeat-*`.
