# Gauge visual is always showing three ranges, even when only one is configured

Using Kibana 7.8.0. I have a very simple gauge show only a count of all the documents. I have configured one range going from 0 till the total amount of documents (in this example 8). I expect the gauge to be full colored, instead it keeps showing three ranges and only show it's full for the the configured range. The legend show more ranges as well.

The screenshot below is based on an imported visual but when I create a new one the same thing happens. Did something change or did I discoverd a bug? Currently this breaks my dashboard ☹
