# Generate CSV : Date Format

If we want the raw date format when you generate the CSV how can we get it to stop formatting the viewable July 13th 2018, 14:35:31.000 vs "CreatedDate": "2018-07-13T15:26:29.000+0000"? How can you simply export the raw fields with no translation?

Found a tool that does not change the data from what was inserted. Would be great if you could configure the export to output raw. Not sure what else is manipulated. Below tool works great.

Hi Joe, how are you generating your CSV data? Are you using the [Logstash output plugin](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-outputs-csv.html)?

Was trying to use kibana csv export function from within reporting but it reformatted the dates. Forked the es2csv works fantastic. If you have any issues jus tping me.
