# Geolocation not showing up

Hi, I enabled Nginx logs in Kibana using Beats, also installed two elasticsearch plugins which written in Kibana Getting Started for DEB.  
But I not see any map data.  
Nginx request graphs shows all, but geo data not showing up.  
Please help to understand the problem.

Hi @nairihar,

Do you see any error in Filebeat or Elasticsearch logs? Also, are the IP addresses in the log public IPs? Geoip only works on public IPs

Hi @exekias, IP is local wifi IPs, is that not ok ?

Not with public databases, you can create geoip data for your private network, have a look to [Creating geoip data for internal networks](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/creating-geoip-data-for-internal-networks/729/13) for some examples.
