# Get total no. of buckets using composite aggregation

Is there a way to get total no. of buckets using composite aggregation. I see there's a question asked almost 2 years ago [Composite aggregation buckets total count](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/composite-aggregation-buckets-total-count/137156/2). Has this changed? Or is there a plan to add this functionality?
