# Getting 403 from artifacts.elastic.co

Hello,  
We are running Elasticsearch on a GKE cluster in europe-west3 region (Frankfurt, Germany).

Pods can't start because I'm getting an error from install-plugins container:  
Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 403 for URL: [https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/elasticsearch-plugins/repository-gcs/repository-gcs-7.10.2.zip](https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/elasticsearch-plugins/repository-gcs/repository-gcs-7.10.2.zip)

Connection works fine for my local IP and other Google regions (for example us-central-1)

Any ideas why my Germany IP is being denied?

Welcome to the community! Thanks for raising.

As discussed in [this other thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/are-you-getting-403s-when-downloading-please-read-here-first/307340/284) 403 issues should be posted in [this dedicated topic](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/are-you-getting-403s-when-downloading-please-read-here-first/307340). We'll look into your issue there.
