# Getting an error of ES\_CLASSPATH not found

I'm trying to run elasticsearch but am getting the error "You must set the ES\_CLASSPATH var". I think this is related to my java configuration or installation, but I can't figure out what is wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

what does 'java -version' print?
what is the full error message?
