# Getting attached Status Red error in KIbana

I moved it to #kibana

There is barely nothing we can do I believe without details like elasticsearch and kibana logs. May be settings?

Hi there, could you walk us through the steps you've taken to get to this point? For example:

1. Is this a fresh install of Kibana?
2. Are you following the steps in the Getting Started guide?
3. Have you configured any settings, per David's question?
4. Are you running Elasticsearch?
