# Heartbeat: "Host" field

Apparently, `host` field is filled with the value of the host the beat is running on if the urls are NOT ips. Otherwise it is filled with the ip.

Example:

```auto
- name: first
  type: http
  urls:
    - https://123.45.6.7:443

- name: second
  type: http
  urls:
    - https://www.myurl.com:443

```

Result:

First:

```auto
...
"host": "heartbeat.machine"

```

Second:

```auto
...
"host": "www.myurl.com"

```

What exactly is the question here?

Can you post the complete events?

In the development branch the event format has been changed. Can you try [with a nightly build](https://beats-nightlies.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html?prefix=heartbeat)?
