# Helm 3 Migration Roadmap

Currently the required version to use the Elastic Stack Helm charts are \>=2.8.0 and \<3.0.0. Is there a plan in your roadmap to migrate to Helm 3? If so what is the time period where this will be available?

Hi @Alex_Gordon,

Adding support for Helm 3 is on our roadmap and is tracked in [elastic/helm-charts#401](https://github.com/elastic/helm-charts/issues/401) with current work happening in [elastic/helm-charts#516](https://github.com/elastic/helm-charts/pull/516).

We'll ensure this is ready before Helm 2 end of support in November, however we don't have any timeline yet about when we'll be able to continue work started on it and when it will be released.

Don't hesitate to check the mentionned GitHub issue regularly.
