# Help with create a Single Metric Job

I want to create a Single Metric Job,but "From a New Search, Select Index" is nothing to choose.  
My OS is windows7

Hi,

Go to the "Management" tab and select "Index Pattern" option. It will list all the available indexes you have created. If you are not able to find the index you need, then use "Create Index Pattern" option and create your index. Once it is created, you'll be able to select that corresponding index from this "From a New Search, Select Index" option.

I also can't create a "Index Pattern".Do I need create a logstash.conf file first?
