# Help with the Node.js Javascript API

Here's my local node.js server.

var elasticsearch = require('elasticsearch');  
var client = new elasticsearch.Client({  
host: server:9200',  
log:'trace'  
});

client.search({  
q:'slide'  
},function (error,response){  
if(error){  
console.log(error);  
}  
if(response){  
console.log(response);  
}  
});

This returns no hits.

However, when I copy and paste the POST from the trace into a browser, I  
get everything I search for.

Here's the trace:

Looks like either my version, or the documentation is wrong, because I can  
run queries by using "query: 'text' " instead of "q: 'text' ".
