# High CPU Usage, not from queries

I'm running a single elastic search node (v 2.0.0) with quite a lot of indices (~700) and two shards each. I'm having problems with high cpu usage. I have looked at the output from \_nodes/hot\_threads but I'm note sure what this means. Any ideas on why I''m having high cpu usage? The cpu usage is high even if I'm not making any queries to the ES server.
