Hi,

We are running ES 1.7. We have built the binary from the source code and are using it. Now say when we want to add some patch or fixes is it possible to apply this fix without bringing ES instance down. What is the recommended way of applying these patches/fixes

We'd recommend using the official repositories and if you did that, any patches would require downtime.
I am not sure if there is anyway to splice patches in without downtime.
