# How can i add new index pattern?

how can i add new index pattern while i already have an existing index pattern?

Just click [Create Index Pattern](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/managing-fields.html) again. You can have multiple patterns at once in Kibana.

Can you tell us a little more about what you're trying to achieve? E.g.:

- what is the current index pattern
- what indices are there
- what index pattern do you want to create
- what do you want to achieve by creating the new pattern. Is the old one missing something?

Hi

- what is the current index pattern - filebeat\*
- what indices are there - filebeat-
- what index pattern do you want to create - another name but but still using the filebeat.
- what do you want to achieve by creating the new pattern. Is the old one missing something?

- in one kibana, i can monitor all my server logs by using the filebeat.
- like for example if i have a 2 servers (transaction servers) server 1 using filebeat and server 2 using filebeat also. In kibana i want to create 2 index pattern to have an option to switch to another index.
