# How can we control a node that want to join our multiple nodes cluster Elasticsearch?

Hi,

Is it possible to control on our multiple nodes cluster Elastic, the list of nodes that can join our cluster ?

You can have a whitelist with Shield/X-Pack (commercial plugin).  
At least you could try to use a strange cluster name which will prevents other nodes to join...
