# How do I apply search analyzer to specific field in elasticsearch

Hello, I'm newbie to elasticsearch and would like to use the search analyzer on a certain field in the existing index. For instance, I want to convert the uppercase values in the retrieve field to lowercase letters. I would be grateful for any assistance with this. thanks
