# How do I stop automatic rollover upgrades

check the reference: [Rollover | Elasticsearch Guide [8.3] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/index-rollover.html)

Go to Kibana --\> Management --\> Index Lifecycle Policies and do the sets there.

I think there is a misunderstanding there about the term `rollover` what the OP means is a rolling upgrade e.g going from 8.2.0 to 8.3.0. I replied to the linked original question.
